Possible Merger Between British Airways and Iberia

The British airline British Airways and the Spanish Iberia confirmed that they are in negotiations over a potential merger between the two companies complete.

Although, as said by BA, negotiations are in early stages, the two companies confirmed that, to reach agreement, both brands would be maintained as part of the new group.

These negotiations may not fall as a surprise considering that in 1999 British Airways acquired a 9% of Iberia, an amount increased in recent months to 13.15%.

On the other hand, Iberia confirmed the purchase of 2.99% of British Airways, although it must be clarified that its share increasing to 6.99% depending on certain variables in contracts and the stock price.

Terry McAuliffe supports Obama

It is no surprise whatsoever that Democratic Party stalwart and past chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Terry McAuliffe, has channeled all his energies into the Presidential bid of Barack Obama.

As a middle-aged man with an impressive and highly accomplished past, Terry McAuliffe will certainly continue to be an asset for the Democratic Party for many years to come.
